People Hub Overview and Glossary
People Hub helps companies manage competency, training, certification, and assignments in one place inside Q-Hub. It connects to Q-Hub Tasks, Forms, Processes, Documents, Org Chart, and the Portal, so training and compliance work flows through the same platform employees already use.
At a glance: Use People Hub to define what employees need, assign requirements, track completion, monitor expiry, and report on workforce readiness.
The requirement is met and still current.
The requirement is assigned but not yet completed.
The due date is approaching.
The due date has passed without completion.
A completed item is nearing its expiry date.
The expiry date has passed.
Activity categories
Category | Typical use |
|---|---|
Training | Self-paced or facilitated learning. |
Certificate | External or uploaded certification with evidence. |
Review | Performance review. This is supported in the data model but less prominent in the main interface. |
Single action | A one-off form, process, or document read-and-understood requirement. |
Activity types for training
Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
Self | Individual completion through form fields, a linked form or process, or a document. |
Internal 1-to-1 | A facilitated one-to-one session. |
Internal Group | Group training with dates and a trainer. |
External | External training tracked in People Hub. |
Users and access
Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
Company admin | A Q-Hub administrator with full People Hub access. |
Activity manager | An approved trainer who can manage assigned activities and see scoped people. |
Org-chart supervisor | A user with subordinates on the released org chart. This role has read-only team visibility. |
Portal user | A user with limited Q-Hub access who uses Portal People Hub for self-service only. |
Skill / role owner | A user or group that owns a skill or competency role. |
