People Hub Home Dashboard
The Home page (/peoplehub/home) is the main dashboard experience in People Hub. It gives every user a clear view of their training workload, while users with management access also see operational metrics to help monitor team compliance and training delivery.
The same core dashboard experience is also available in the portal as the Dashboard tab at
/portal/peoplehub?tab=dashboard.
Who sees what
Role | Home experience |
|---|---|
Standard user | Personal dashboard only |
Company admin | Personal dashboard plus company-level admin dashboard metrics |
Activity manager | Personal dashboard plus management metrics scoped to the activities they manage |
If a user does not have management access, they see only the personal dashboard experience.
Personal dashboard
The personal dashboard is designed to help each user quickly understand what training is assigned, what needs attention first, and what actions they can take next.
KPI pills
At the top of the page, summary KPI pills show the signed-in user's current training counts.
KPI | Meaning |
|---|---|
Assigned | Open activity tasks currently assigned to you |
Overdue | Items that have passed their due date |
In progress | Tasks or activities that have been started but are not yet complete |
Completed | Items finished within the recent reporting window |
Selecting a KPI pill filters the trainings table below so users can focus on a specific workload category.
My trainings table
The My trainings table lists the user's assigned trainings and activity tasks.
Typical columns include:
Activity title
Status
Due date
Course or session dates
Compliance status
Typical filters include:
Activity name
Status
Date range
This table is the primary place for users to review what they need to complete and to open work items directly.
Opening an activity task
Click a row in the trainings table to open the Activity Task dialog. From there, the user can review details, continue progress, complete work, or perform the next required action depending on the activity type.
For more detail on task completion flows, see People Hub Overview and Glossary.
Pending signatures
If the signed-in user is responsible for sign-off, a Pending signatures badge appears on the dashboard. This helps managers and approvers quickly find tasks that are waiting for signature.
This is commonly used in workflows where completion requires:
Self sign-off
Manager sign-off
A combination of both
Opening the pending signatures dialog lets the user review outstanding tasks and complete the required approval steps.
Admin dashboard
Users with management access see additional dashboard content on the same Home page. This admin view gives a broader operational picture of training and compliance activity so managers can identify risk, prioritise action, and move quickly into the right area of People Hub.
note920870c0d53aActivity managers see a scoped version of the admin dashboard based on the activities they manage, rather than full company-wide metrics.

What the admin dashboard is used for
Track overall training and compliance health
Monitor completion trends and overdue work
Find required learning that has not yet been scheduled
Jump directly to the operational pages that need action
Support regular follow-up for training managers and administrators
Typical management metrics
Panel | Purpose |
|---|---|
Completion overview | Shows trends in completed versus overdue training |
Overdue summary | Highlights the volume of overdue tasks across the company or within the manager's scope |
Top activity items | Shows courses or sessions with the most learners or the most overdue items |
Unbooked required trainings | Shows users who are marked as required for training but are not yet booked onto an activity item or task |
These metrics help answer a practical operational question: what needs attention first?
Unbooked required trainings
This section is especially useful for administrators and training managers. It highlights employees who have a Required activity on their profile but are not yet scheduled onto a course, session, or task.
This often happens after:
Bulk user imports
Role assignment changes
Updates to required activities
New training setup
A typical fix is:
Open the relevant activity template.
Create an activity item if the training needs scheduled dates, a trainer, or a session.
Assign the relevant users.
Use Create Tasks so the requirement becomes actionable.
For Self training, a separate scheduled item may not always be required. Depending on the activity setup, assigning required users or creating tasks directly from the template may be sufficient.
Get Started entry point
Company admins may see a Get Started entry point when the People Hub setup is not yet complete. This helps guide the initial configuration needed before training can be assigned and tracked effectively.
Quick navigation
The admin dashboard also acts as a launch point into the main operational areas of People Hub.
Destination | Why you would go there |
|---|---|
Expiring | Review training or certificates that are nearing expiry and plan renewals |
Activities | Manage templates, courses, sessions, and learner assignments |
People | Open employee profiles and review training or compliance details |
Quick actions in the drawer typically include:
New Activity
New Skill for admins
New Role for admins
Management trainings table
Admins and activity managers can also access a management trainings table that shows the activities they oversee. This supports operational follow-up across learners and is commonly used to work through incomplete or exception-based training.
Typical filters include:
Status
Template
Date range
Portal experience
Portal users see the same Home component embedded as the Dashboard tab in the portal experience. This makes it easier for external or portal-based users to access their training view without switching to a different workflow.
Practical working patterns
For individual users
Review KPI pills to understand current workload
Filter the trainings table to focus on overdue or in-progress work
Open task rows directly and complete the required actions
Check pending signatures if approval steps are involved
For admins and activity managers
Review high-level metrics on the dashboard
Check overdue items and unbooked required trainings
Open the relevant activity, person, or expiring view
Schedule courses, assign learners, or create tasks as needed
Tips
Use the KPI pills to narrow the personal trainings list before opening tasks.
Check Pending signatures regularly if you are responsible for approvals.
Review Unbooked required trainings after imports or bulk role updates.
Pair dashboard review with the Expiring page to stay ahead of renewals.
Use Home as a triage page, then move into Activities or People to resolve issues.
If expected management data is missing for an activity manager, confirm the user is configured as an activity manager, default trainer, or trainer on the relevant activity items where applicable.
