Born from frustration, built with purpose
In 2018, our founders Ewan and Ethan were deep in the world of manufacturing and quality engineering across the UK. They saw the same problem everywhere: brilliant safety teams drowning in spreadsheets, paper forms, and disconnected tools. Audit trails were a nightmare. Incident data lived in email chains. Compliance felt like a burden instead of a business advantage.
They knew there had to be a better way. So they built it. What started as a simple digital forms tool in a co-working space has grown into a comprehensive QHSE platform trusted by over 500 companies in more than 40 countries.
But the mission hasn't changed: make compliance effortless so teams can focus on what actually matters — keeping people safe, improving quality, and protecting the planet.
Meet our founders
Two people who saw compliance done badly and decided to fix it for good.
Ewan spent years working in quality systems consulting — at International Quality Systems (IQS) and Broadway Engineering — before co-founding Q-Hub. He saw firsthand how businesses across the UK struggled with outdated compliance tools and disconnected processes. That experience shaped Q-Hub's mission: help businesses improve efficiency through software that actually works the way teams do. Based in Caldicot, Ewan drives the company's vision and client relationships.
Ethan brings a hands-on background in lean manufacturing and quality engineering to Q-Hub. A trained quality engineer with a distinction from the University of the West of England, he understands the daily pressures of compliance from the shop floor up. His expertise in lean methodology and process improvement is baked into every feature Q-Hub builds. Based in Caldicot, Ethan ensures the platform solves real problems for real teams.

Seven years of building something meaningful
From a two-person startup to an international platform — here's how we got here.
2018 — The Beginning
Ewan and Ethan quit their consulting roles and founded Q-Hub. The first product was a simple digital audit checklist built from a coffee shop. Within three months, they had their first paying customer — a small manufacturing firm tired of paper-based inspections.
2019 — First 50 Clients
Word spread fast. Q-Hub hit 50 clients and grew the team to 12 people. The platform expanded beyond audits into incident reporting, document control, and training management. The first office was a cramped room above a local pub — the Wi-Fi was terrible but the energy was electric.
2020 — ISO 27001 Certification
Security became non-negotiable as enterprise clients came calling. Q-Hub achieved ISO 27001 certification, proving the platform could handle sensitive compliance data. The pandemic actually accelerated adoption as companies scrambled to digitise their safety processes.
2021 — Going International
Q-Hub expanded beyond the UK, landing clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Multi-language support launched. The team grew to 40+ and moved into proper offices in Caldicot. First year crossing £1M ARR.
2022 — 500+ Clients Milestone
Half a thousand companies now rely on Q-Hub daily. The platform matured with workflow automation, advanced reporting, and a complete API suite. Strategic partnerships with major consulting firms opened doors to enterprise accounts.
2023 — Platform Modernisation
A major platform refresh brought a completely redesigned interface, improved performance, and modern infrastructure. The team invested heavily in customer success, ensuring every client gets genuine, hands-on support — not just documentation links.
2024 — AI-Powered Features
Q-Hub shipped intelligent risk scoring, automated audit scheduling, and AI-assisted incident classification. Smart Forms became the fastest-growing feature. The team passed 70 people and Q-Hub now serves companies across 40+ countries. The best is yet to come.
