From the menu in the top left hand corner, select KPI Hub. To add a KPI, press the plus button and select new KPI. There are five different options shown, but for this video we're going to cover generic KPIs.
First of all, give your KPI a name. Next, select the Hub where the data is found to be able to create your KPI. This tells the KPI builder the source of your data. For this example, we'll choose Health and Safety Incident. It now gives you the option to make the KPI from either a field or entries. By selecting Fields, you can make KPIs from the data found in certain fields. Or if you select Entries, this builds your KPI based on the top level entry data. For this example, we'll select Entries and now it shows the options available. Let's choose Entries that are completed and that are being worked on.
Next, select your KPI type. There are four different types that you can choose from: the first being a pie chart. We can use a bar chart, a line chart, or simply a number. Let's take a look at bar chart for this example. Because I've selected bar chart, it now gives us the option to choose what the data should be grouped by. For now, we'll keep it as Entry Date.
Next, we can choose to change the bar chart type from either grouped or stacked. We'll keep it as grouped for this example. To display a target line, I toggle this option and input your target number. This is now shown by the purple line. Give your KPI a label here. It then asks: if there is no data, how would you like the KPI to be displayed? You can choose to count as zeros or set it as no data label.
Next, there are options to filter the data. You can select from a particular timeline, filter by Portal Spaces, filter by Assets, filter by Users, or we can filter by field from the form that we originally selected. Select whether you would like the KPI to be private or public, and tick here whether to show to Portal users only the data from Portals they have access to.
Once you're done, click Save. To view your new KPI, go to the left hand side bar menu, select My KPIs. You can scroll down and we can see it's now part of our dashboard here.
