Welcome to Q-Hub. We'll start by showing you how to navigate the admin panel. First, select the icon at the top right with your initials in, then choose admin panel. In this area you will see the first section where you can input your company details.
By clicking edit, you can add a company name, address, and change the icon that you want to use for your business. If you tick this option "use the picture as app logo", the picture that you put in this area will then be displayed at the top left of the application. We'll just save that.
You then have some information on when your app access ends and the number of paid users that you can activate. You also have some two-factor authentication options below, but we will demonstrate this in another video.
To add users to the application, click the user section on the left-hand side. This will take you to the user management page. The table below that I'm highlighting now shows you all of the users that you have in the application. Their roles, groups, access, and when they last logged in can be seen from this window. If you'd like to add a new user, click the add user button.
You then have the option to fill in some details for the user. If you would like to create a user that does not require an email address to log in, select the username only option. Here you can create a username in this field and a password that can be used to log into the application without an email address. In this video we will just create a normal user using an email. We'll add our name, an email address, and we will leave the mobile and job role field blank.
There are four key access settings when creating a user. A view-only user is a free user. A standard user and an admin user are both users that will count towards your total paid users that you have agreed in your package. A portal user is also a free user, but this sometimes has a limit on how many you can create depending on the package that you were on. Admins should only be created if you would like them to have full access to the application and manage things such as the admin panel and have overall control of the features of the application. For this video we will select a standard user.
After you have created the user, the email address you provided will be given a verification email. Once they have verified their account, they will be able to log into the application. You can see if this has been done by clicking on the user row and seeing the status provided here.
We'll now show you how to make groups in the application. Go to the group section on the panel on the left. Currently we have no groups set up. To start adding groups, press the blue add button. You can now add your group name.
You can also apply a setting that will mean any users that are inactive for a certain amount of minutes will be logged off automatically. Switch this setting on and select the number of minutes you would like the timeout to be set to. For example, 10 minutes here means if the user is not active within 10 minutes they will automatically be logged out. We'll leave this off for this example.
When adding groups, you can search through users in the application or simply select them in this window and then click save. You will see the group has been added. You can then select the group and edit it using the same window if you choose to change the users in the group.
