From the side menu select Asset Profiles. Profiles are like an asset template. For example, if you wanted to add five cars as assets, first you will need to create a profile for the cars to be able to capture the same information for all. So to do this, click the blue plus icon in the top right corner. Give your profile a name. There is an option to include a prefix to be added to the name of each new asset. Select which number the asset should start from. Options will be included: asset name and asset owner. However, you can select or remove whether you would like asset group and location to also be included.

If the assets in this profile should be given an expiry date, which field should be included? For example, I might want to include number plate, the make of the vehicle, the model, and lastly maybe the colour. Don't forget for any of these fields you can make them required. Next, set up the fields or information that you require when booking an asset out or in. For example, we may want the username and the date and time for the booking in. Asset management tasks and characteristics are explained in their own videos. Lastly, under resources you can attach any files that are relevant to this profile. Once you are done, click save. As you can see, our new profile has now been created.
