There are two ways to add a new asset. Select Assets from the left menu and click the blue plus icon in the top right corner. Alternatively, if you are in Asset Profiles, click into the profile you wish to add to and then select Add Asset in the top right corner.

From this page, you also have the option to upload an asset from an Excel file. To use this method, you will first need to download the profile template. Select Download Excel Template from the top right corner, input the required information and save the file.

Once you're done, it should look something like this. Now that we've saved it, let's go back to our profile. In the top right corner, we'll select Upload Assets from Excel, select our file, and this is now being created.

Let's look at how to add an asset manually. If we click the blue plus icon, select the profile we wish to add to, you can see the asset profile has been set to Company Cars. However, if we click in, we can reassign the profile if we need to or add a new one. How to set up a new profile is covered in its own video.

First off, we'll give the asset a name, select the asset number, select the location, asset group, and asset owner. Next, select the asset expiry date. Next, we complete all relevant fields. Add asset description if needed.

If there was a management task included within the profile, it will show up here. However, you can add one by pressing the plus icon. These are covered in another video. Same goes for asset characteristics. If this was set up, you'd be able to add the relevant information.

Lastly, we can upload any relevant documents to the asset. If you need to, you can also upload an asset image by clicking here. Once we're done, press Save in the bottom corner. This is now added to our new asset.
